The Webb Drive Criterium, was traditionally the final and deciding stage of the tour, but takes place as the penultimate stage. This serves as the sprinter’s last chance to claim points for the Sprinters Jersey, and to race for any remaining time bonuses for GC before the hill climb finish on Stage 3. The 1.14km circuit can often pick up a tough breeze coming off the town common, making for some interesting racing as groups split and breakaways form.
